Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and Dallas Skyline
This is a picture of the Margaret Hunt Hill and Dallas Skyline I took around sunset in October 2015 The composition felt good, but the colors always felt off and distracting. Although I worked on it several times over the years, the results were always unsatisfying. Black & White monochrome did not capture the mood of the scene. Finally, I went with what you see here and am happy after all this time to post a version of that shot from years ago that I feel works!

These are a few images I took recently on my Sunday morning photo walks. I have many more from those walks that I am working on and may share here as well. I have always loved black & white images of urban scenes going back to my film/darkroom days.
Bell UH-1D Iroquois Huey at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas Texas
This is a picture I took at sundown of a Bell UH-1D Iroquois Huey Helicopter on static display. Because of the fading light, I was able to capture a nice, silhouetted image of its iconic shape contrasted against a muted gradient of transitioning sky colors at twilight. For those interested, this aircraft is on permanent static display at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field in Dallas Texas. There is a wonderful history behind this particular helicopter and it is a story worth checking out. You can find it in the link below.
